1. Our Principles
Diverse Traveller's Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us, and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and associated services. Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information in accordance with this policy.

Diverse Traveller will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice. This statement will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our members' needs.

2. What information do we collect?
We collect information on our users in two ways: through website usage data including cookies (see below), and through registration.

Registration allows you to use advanced features of the DIVERSE TRAVELLER website, such as the facility to contribute articles or take part in online discussions.

When you register on the Diverse Traveller site you knowingly choose to provide Diverse Traveller with personal information. The minimum information we need to register a user is their name, email address and a username of their choosing.

By default, only the username will be visible to other users, unless you explicitly choose to make more of your details available to other users of the Diverse Traveller website. Any further details you choose to supply about yourself and your company when you register are provided at your own discretion.

If you submit articles to the site or take part in discussions, we wull retain the content of your articles, posts and related responses.

Unless otherwise specified, you will be identified as the author of any content you supply to the Diverse Traveller website by reference to the details you have chosen to make available to the public upon registration, and subsequently.

Please note, once a story or feature is published it will not be removed.

We also allow users to update their personal information and newsletter subscription status at any time.

3. Email updates
Users can opt-in to receive regular email updates from
Diverse Traveller when they register for the Diverse Traveller website, or when they update their personal information.

Users can also opt to receive email updates without registering on the Diverse Traveller website by providing their email address only. Diverse Traveller will retain the email address until they receive a request to unsubscribe sent from the same email address.

Diverse Traveller email updates will typically be sent once a month, although additional emails about Diverse Traveller services may also be sent from time to time. Subscribers will be notified if the frequency with which email updates are sent changes.

Only users who have opted in will receive email updates from Diverse Traveller. We will never intentionally solicit or proactively send promotional emails to users unless they have explicitly asked to receive this type of communication.

Any user can opt out of communications at any time by updating their personal profile, by following the Unsubscribe instructions published in every Diverse Traveller email update, or by sending an email with 'UNSUBSCRIBE' in the subject line to the editor.

4. Events and courses
When booking for an event or course you will be asked for information such as your name, address, company and telephone number. This data will be retained by
Diverse Traveller for purposes relating to the administration of that event or course, and may also be used to monitor usage of Diverse Traveller's website and other activities.

By registering for a course or an event, you agree to receive communication relating to that course or event.
